What is Viton®?
Viton is a synthetic rubber and fluoropolymer elastomer which is commonly used in O-rings and other molded or extruded goods. Viton is a registered trademark of Chemours.

These characteristics make Viton: fluoroelastomer the perfect choice for demanding sealing applications. Unfortunately, there are several low-cost “fluoroelastomer imposters” on the market that may put your operations at risk of seal failure. A number of manufacturers of finished goods off products which are being described as “commercial” or “industrial grades” of fluoroelastomers at reduced prices. These so-called “fluoroelastomers” can be off at lower cost simply because they are not 100% virgin fluoroelastomers Instead, some of these products are blends of FKM with hydrocarbon elastomers, such as ethylene-propylene, chloroprene or acrylic rubbers Perfluoroelastomers.

- The working temperature range is considered to be -20°C to +200°C
